A guide to ceremonies at Halton Holegate St Andrew’s

Weddings

As a Church we believe that marriage is a gift from God and welcome all couples who wish to declare their love for one another publicly.

Getting married in Church will add a spiritual dimension to your wedding which includes God and seeks his help and guidance as you commit your lives to one another as husband and wife.

If you are interested in getting married in St Andrew’s please contact the Bolingbroke Deanery Office who will arrange for you to meet with the Vicar. The Office can also help with information on fees, banns, and marriage preparation.

Baptism

A Baptism is a significant step on the Christian journey of faith, and can happen at any age.

As an adult we ask that the individual explores with others their faith in God. As a child brought to be baptised we ask parents/God parents, with our support, to explore whether they feel ready to make the promises and commitments to God for their child. During Baptism children/adults are welcomed into the church family, so, as we learn about Jesus together, we discover how He wants us to live our lives and we grow in our relationship with God, who loves us.

For further information or to speak to someone about booking your baptism please contact the Bolingbroke Deanery office:

Funeral

Funerals can take place either in Church or at a Crematorium. We are here for everyone.

Your first point of contact is usually the local Funeral Director who will guide you through the process.

Our clergy are available to assist and support you during this time, be it answering questions, providing a listening ear, or helping to plan the funeral service.

Our clergy will arrange to visit you at home and talk through the service with you, offering any advice as required.
