Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, volunteers at Halton Holegate Church were able to take part in two photography training sessions with Angela Montague of Push Creativity. As part of the training, Angela set the volunteers 30 challenges to complete over 30 days. The following galleries showcase some of the images that came out of that work.
Angela commented: “This was a lovely group to teach. They embraced the Zoom version of the course with enthusiasm (due to the pandemic), even though we had all planned for face-to-face sessions. I’m delighted to see the volunteers take on the challenges set in the training, and you can clearly see them looking at photography, and the capabilities of their phones and my recommended editing apps, with new eyes. A very rewarding session for me as the trainer.”

CHRISTINE KING: “A thoroughly enjoyable course”
COLIN GRAY: “It has introduced me to some aspects of composition of which I was unaware. It has enabled me to make much better use of my iPhone‘s capabilities.”
STEVE LUMB: “Church and photography focussed. Tips, tricks and pointers to more self learning. Good relaxed approach and plenty of opportunity to ask questions and interact.”
Steve’s photographs show Bolingbroke Church bar the image with the dog Poppy, which was taken at Halton Holegate.
MARION GRAY: “We have explored how much more our phones can do, other than point and shoot.”
