All are invited to join us as we celebrate all the positives that have come out of the past 18 months of lockdowns, self-isolation, and uncertainty. One of these has been the completion of the latest phase of repairs to this Historic building, in order to make it watertight, thus helping to preserve it for many years to come.
Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th August 2021 10:30am to 3:00pm
A short service will be held in church on Saturday 14th August at 10:30am to celebrate and give thanks for the successful and safe completion of the project.
As part of the Community volunteer projects a Children’s Guide to the church has been produced and is freely available in church.
The event will also showcase the output of our Community Engagement Heritage projects that have been ongoing alongside the capital repair works including a new Church guidebook, Children’s Guide to the Church, Kid’s trail and Halton Holegate ‘Past & Present’ booklets all freely available in church. Interpretive boards and banners displaying the results of the various research undertaken including the names on the War Memorial, Timelines, Historic photographs and a reproduction of the Halton Holegate Book will be exhibited in church.
Refreshments will be available.
The church will also be open Monday 16th to Friday 20th August 10:30am to 3:00pm for those wishing to visit on other days.
We look forward to welcoming visitors back to St Andrew’s church after such a long time.
